I have a picky pig.

I have a guinea pig who is my world. I bought her in October from Petco (please spare me the lecture that I should have adopted or purchased from a shelter/privately owned blah blah), I checked our local shelters and they had no pigs. I wasn't going to purchase a GP from a seller on craigslist that wasn't able to tell me the gender, approximate age, or what food it was currently eating.

I would like to think I'm good to her. Her cage is always immaculate, I've been asked if I even have a real animal living in there. I spot clean daily and do a total cage breakdown 1-2 times a week as necessary. I also try to make her cage life interesting, I swap things out and move things around. I'll change swap the pigloo/barn for her tent or hut, I'll move her hay rack to the other side of the cage, different toys and chew treats. She also has a playpen for use during floor time, which I always try to do a different setup.

The problem: She's picky.
Food/mix: When I bought her, I grabbed Higgin's Gourmet GP mix. She loved it. Then she was running low and I went to the pet store and they were out of that brand - I bought Kaytee Fiesta Gourmet Max. She hardly touched it and a few days later I went back and got the Higgins brand. Now.. she just seems to pick through and eats a few things. HOLY FRUSTRATION!

She has access to unlimited timothy hay, while she's in her cage. She seems to just tear it out of the rack violently and flings it across the cage. She will randomly pick a piece or two and actually eat them, otherwise, it's decoration on her floor until I spot clean.

I give her bottled water because our city water tastes funky to ME and I don't drink it so, I don't think she should either.

Fresh food - Veggies & fruit: She LIKES carrots, she never refuses those. I buy baby carrots and she has about six small (three in the morning/noon and three in the evening) chopped up in her "salad"..I know I've read that carrots can cause gas but I've never noticed an issue and honestly, it's one of the only fresh foods she will even touch. She will rarely nibble on a piece of watermelon, cantaloupe and she took a BITE of an apple slice once. DISLIKES (I say dislike because I've tried several times in her "salad" and individually.. and she just doesn't go for it) -- oranges, lettuce (random kinds, never iceberg), broccoli, red pepper, grapes, honey dew, and cucumber.

I don't know what else to do. I really need to just compile a list of GP friendly fruits/veggies (or find one via internet) and basically just try and go through an elimination process. I just hate to do that because fresh veggies/fruits are not cheap and so far it's been nothing but a waste haha. I make her a "salad" (a plate of fruits and veggies chopped and mixed) every evening, it's part of her evening floor/bonding time. HELP ME FEED MY PIG A HEALTHY, WELL BALANCED DIET!!!
